Descriptive InformationOn back: 9/24/66; EARLE HALL, a gift of the Olin foundation, was built and equipped at a cost in excess of a million in 1959. Named in honor of Dr. Samuel B. Earle, dean emeritus of the College of Engineering, the building is equipped with the latest facilities for the instruction and research in chemical engineering and metallurgy. Earlier the Olin Foundation had given Clemson Olin Hall, the home of the ceramic engineering department. The two gifts totaled more than two million dollars.; UA100_001186
