Edwards turn the first spades of dirt at the ground-breaking for Clemson University's Littlejohn Coliseum. Also taking part in the ceremony were Frank Howard, athletic director and head football coach, and Frank J. Jervey (right), life member of the Clemson Board of Trustees. The coliseum is named in honor of the late James C. Littlejohn, a native of Jonesville who became the University's registrar and its first business manager.
