Greenville Senior High School students studying 'El Cid' by A. H. Huntington Clemson University Libraries A. Wolfe Davidson and his art students studying a bronze work, El Cid Campeador, by American sculptor Anna Hyatt Huntington. The sculpture is a smaller model of the public work installed at Balboa Park on the Plaza de Panama in San Diego, California; it now resides in Brookgreen Gardens, a botanical garden and sculpture park Huntingon and her husband established in South Carolina in the 1930s. The sculpture was part of an exhibit of Huntington's work at Greenville Senior High School, where Davidson taught a weekly art class from 1936 to 1943.
